And thank you to our clients who have shown us that the combination of relaxation, creativity, self-exploration mixed with a taste of the wonderful Greek way of life is a winning one............ hope to see you again in 2009!! Testimonial on "In Durrell's Footsteps". "Finding a holiday that combines a level of creative challenge, work-shopping with like-minded people, and surroundings beautiful and inspiring is not an easy task. But after myself and my good friend Google spent a little time together I unearthed a gem, a treasure in the practically untouched rurals of southern Rhodes.
Essentially a five day writing workshop in Greece, (situated specifically in the gorgeous island of Rhodes) this workshop offers so much more. I had no feeling at all of being a tourist in a place I had never been before, and with people I had never met before. Welcomed in all ways from morning coffee and village gossip, to personally driven tours around this wild, mysterious island and dinners with the many eclectic and interesting locals. And... I haven't even started on the food or the level of creative inspiration and acknowledgement I received in the actual participation of the writing workshop.
This workshop holiday surpassed my expectations. I would recommend it with heart to all fellow seekers, travellers and creatives that love to travel but are anything but tourists.

Five minutes' drive from the sea, Lachania is a traditional Greek village nestling in a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean and each course is designed to give the participant a real taste of the relatively un-explored and sparsely-populated Southern Rhodes together with a taste of traditional Greek hospitality and village life. Our aim is to send you home relaxed and inspired and amazed by the natural beauty and friendliness that is so special to this part of the island. Thank you and we hope to welcome you to Lachania in the near future. |
